Community Medicine: Healthcare For All
As part of the Community Medicine curriculum, our medical students actively engage with local communities across Timor-Leste. Through regular field visits, students step beyond the classroom to understand real-world health challenges faced by the population. They participate in health education, conduct surveys, assist in immunization drives, and promote preventive healthcare practices.
These community interactions not only enhance their clinical and communication skills but also instill a deep sense of social responsibility. By working closely with families, elders, and local health workers, our students contribute meaningfully to improving public health while gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
